AppleFest 5K in Monmouth, Maine
The AppleFest 5K is a community road event organized by the Friends of Cumston Hall. The event is open to runners, joggers and walkers and is a single distance race of 5 km. Timing is provided by Back 40 Timing.
The course starts and finishes at Cumston Hall on Main Street and follows side streets through Monmouth with a short view of Cochnewagon Lake as participants approach the finish. The route briefly heads north on Main Street, turns onto Academy Road and climbs past the Monmouth Fairgrounds and Monmouth Academy. After about 0.35 miles on Academy Road there is a turnaround marked by a cone. The return course follows Norris Hill Road and Blue Road, with the finish in front of the Cumston Hall arch.
Awards include medals for top male and female finishers in age divisions and trophies for overall male and female winners. Age divisions listed include 13 and under, 14 to 19, then decades from 20 to 29 through 60 to 65, 66 to 69, and 70 plus.
Online registration fees and categories are published for adults, youth and family entries. A premium race shirt is offered for an additional fee and requires ordering by September 21, 2026.
