Apple Valley Desert Rock and Road Half Marathon
The Apple Valley Desert Rock and Road event is a multi-distance running activity scheduled for March 2026. Taking place in Apple Valley, California, the event serves as an inaugural tradition for the community. The race routes begin and end at Civic Center Park, located at 14999 Dale Evans Parkway.
Participants can choose from three distinct distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
The courses lead runners through scenic routes that showcase the landscapes of Apple Valley. The 5K is open to those who wish to run, jog, or walk, while the 10K is designated for running or jogging. The Half Marathon is subject to specific time restrictions, including a final time limit of 3.5 hours and a mid-course cutoff at mile 7, which requires a pace of 16:01.83.
The event provides well-marked courses and multiple aid stations. All participants receive a commemorative medal upon completion of their race. Packet pick-up is available the day before the race from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, or on the morning of the event starting at 5:30 am. Parking for athletes is available at the Town Hall Parking Lot off Dale Evans Parkway and Westlund Way, or at the nearby Super Target shopping center.
