Apple Valley Reverse Triathlon : Civic Center Park, Apple Valley, CA
The event takes place at Civic Center Park and the Aquatic Center in Apple Valley, California, at 14999 Dale Evans Parkway. The program includes a reverse triathlon, a kids triathlon, and a separate 5K run.
Event formats and distances:
- Reverse Triathlon: 5K run, 12 mile bike, 150 yd pool swim.
- Kids Triathlon: 1K run, 1 mile bike, 50 yard swim.
- 5K: stand-alone 5K run.
All events use chip timing. Triathlon participants receive a T shirt and a finisher medal. Awards include medals for the top three overall male and female finishers and top three in each division for the triathlon, and top three male and female in the 5K. Participation awards, including a medal and T shirt, are provided for kids in the kids triathlon, which is intended for children ages 5 to 12.
Packet pickup is available on the day before the event and on race day; a valid ID is required for packet pickup. Helmets are required for the bike portion, proper swim attire is required for the swim, and electric bicycles are not permitted.
