Apple Valley Reverse Triathlon - Civic Center Park, Apple Valley
The Apple Valley Reverse Triathlon is held at Civic Center Park and the Aquatic Center in Apple Valley, California. The reverse format begins with a 5K run, continues with a 12 mile road bike on public roads, and concludes with a 150 yard pool swim. E Bikes are not allowed. All timed events use chip timing. Triathletes receive a T-shirt and a finisher medal.
The event schedule includes a separate kids triathlon and a standalone 5K. The kids triathlon is aimed at children ages 5 to 12 and includes participation awards; each child receives a medal and a T-shirt. Awards for the main triathlon include medals for the top three overall male and female and the top three in each age division. The standalone 5K awards the top three male and female.
Race packet pickup is available the day before and on race day; a valid ID is required for pickup. Race day registration is available but closes before the events begin. Helmets are required for the bike portion and proper swim attire is required for the swim. Parking is available at the Town Hall parking lot off Dale Evans Parkway and Westlund Way or at the Super Target shopping center.
