Apperley Bridge Canter 2026

The Apperley Bridge Canter is an evening multi-terrain race held on Thursday 28 May 2026 in Apperley Bridge, Bradford. The event is organised by Horsforth Harriers and is based at Woodhouse Grove School, Apperley Bridge BD10 0NR.

The course is approximately 10.5 km and follows tracks, paths and roads in a single undulating lap. The race is chip timed and is run under UKA rules. Participants must be at least 16 years old. The event has an entry limit of 450 and provides a memento to all finishers.

Prizes are awarded to the top three in the open and female categories and to the winner in each veteran age category, with a maximum of one prize per entrant. Headphones and pushchairs are not permitted. Photography and filming will take place and individuals may request images of themselves to be removed from publication.

Facilities at Race HQ include water, toilets, changing rooms, showers and baggage storage. There are no distance markers on the course. Limited parking is available on site. Race HQ is about a 10 minute walk from Apperley Bridge train station and the venue is served by the A2 and the 60 bus route.

The event includes fundraising activity for the Motor Neurone Disease Association and a cake sale in aid of that charity. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
