Apperley Bridge Canter 2026
The Apperley Bridge Canter is the 20th running presented by Horsforth Harriers, held on 28 May 2026 in Apperley Bridge, Bradford. The race starts and finishes at Woodhouse Grove School, Apperley Bridge BD10 0NR.
The course is approximately 10.5 km, multi terrain and undulating, following tracks, paths and some road over a single lap. The event is chip timed and held under UKA rules. Participants must be at least 16 years old. Entry is limited and category prizes are awarded to the top three in open and female categories plus one prize in each veteran age category, with a maximum of one prize per entrant. A memento is provided to all finishers.
Race facilities at the headquarters include water, toilets, changing rooms, showers and baggage storage. There are no distance markers on course and the route is not suitable for wheelchairs. Limited parking is available on site; the venue is about a ten minute walk from Apperley Bridge train station and is served by the A2 and the 60 bus route. The wearing of headphones and the use of pushchairs are not permitted. Photography and filming will take place and individuals may request removal of images. The event raises funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association and will include a cake sale in aid of that charity.
