Event details
The Apocalypse Ultra takes place on May 9th, 2026, in Church Stretton, Shropshire. The event uses a central HQ in Church Stretton and includes a rolling 16-hour buffet of hot and cold food at the venue. There is a 16-hour time limit to complete all four loops. Entry is limited to 125 places and the published entry fee is £44. RFID timing is used and GPS tracker hire is available. Medical cover is provided by MW Medics. Awards are given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. An optional combined medal set is available for £7 if all four loops are completed.
Course and entries
The format consists of four different loops that can be run in any order and in either direction. Participants can choose to complete one loop or any combination up to all four for a total of 50 miles. If all four loops are completed, the combined ascent and descent is over 10,000 ft. Distances and elevation for each loop:
- Conquest - 9.5 miles, 710 m elevation
- War - 13.3 miles, 673 m elevation
- Death - 11.6 miles, 753 m elevation
- Famine - 15.45 miles, 751 m elevation
Registration takes place at St Laurence's Parish Hall, Church Stretton. The entry policy states no refunds, deferrals, or transfers to other events; transfers within the event are permitted up to one week before the event via the ticket system.
