Event overview

The Apocalypse Ultramarathon takes place on Saturday 9 May 2026 in Church Stretton, Shropshire (St Laurence’s Church Stretton, SY6 6DQ). Entry fee is £44. The event is limited to 125 places and the organiser lists a minimum age of 18. Entries are currently full and there is no waitlist. The organiser’s entry policy states no refunds, deferrals, or transfers to other events; transfers to another person within the same event are allowed up to one week before the event using the ticket system and are refunded after the replacement pays.

Format, course and logistics

The event uses four distinct loops named Conquest, War, Death and Famine. Each loop has a different distance; together they total 50 miles and would include over 10,000 ft of climb if all four are completed. Runners may complete one, two, three, or all four loops, and may run or walk loops in any order and in either direction. There is a 16-hour time limit for completing all four loops. Central event HQ is in Church Stretton and provides a rolling 16-hour buffet of hot and cold food. Race services listed include GPS tracker hire from Track Trail, RFID timing with RaceResult, medical cover from MW Medics, and awards for first, second and third places. An optional combined medal set is available for £7.00.
