Apocalypse Ultramarathon (May 9, 2026)
The Apocalypse Ultramarathon is a multi-loop trail event based at a central HQ in Church Stretton, Shropshire. Participants choose how many loops to complete, with options that range from a single loop up to a full set totaling 50 miles. Completing all four loops involves more than 10,000 ft of cumulative ascent and descent.
The format uses four different loops that can be run or walked in any order and in either direction. Loop distances and elevation are:
- Conquest, 9.5 miles, 710 m elevation
- War, 13.3 miles, 673 m elevation
- Death, 11.6 miles, 753 m elevation
- Famine, 15.45 miles, 751 m elevation
The event operates from one central location in Church Stretton. A rolling 16-hour buffet of hot and cold food and drink is available at HQ. Timing is provided with RFID RaceResult equipment and GPS tracker hire is offered. Medical cover is provided and awards are given for first, second and third places. There is a 16 hour time limit for completing all four loops. Entry is limited to 125 places and the stated entry fee is £44. Transfer of entries to another person is permitted up to one week before the event; refunds are only issued if the organiser cancels the event.
