Apex Foundation Trick or Trot 5K & Halloween Hunt
This event takes place on October 24, 2026 in Arvada, Colorado at the Apex Center area, 13150 W. 72nd Avenue. It comprises in-person and virtual running options plus a separate kids' activity for children 12 and under.

The in-person 5K includes a judged costume contest with categories for Best Group, 12 and Under, Best Couple, Best Homemade, and Best Pet. Awards are given to overall male and female finishers and to first and second place in age and gender categories: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 plus. Registered 5K participants receive a swag bag and event giveaway item.
The kids' 1-mile Candy Hunt is for ages 12 and under; children registered for the 5K receive automatic entry to the hunt. One parent or guardian is encouraged to accompany a child and does not need to register.
Onsite amenities and activities after the race include yard games, synthetic ice, a bounce house, a kids crafting station, post-race massage, prize giveaways, and awards. Parking and packet pickup are available at the Apex Center. The event is held rain, snow, or shine; registrations are non-refundable. If a public health order forces cancellation of in-person racing, the event will move to a virtual format and refunds will not be issued.
