Apex Foundation Trick or Trot 5K & Halloween Hunt
The Apex Foundation Trick or Trot is a Halloween-themed event held in Arvada on October 24, 2026, presented as the 6th anniversary edition. The event includes in-person and virtual running options and a separate children’s activity.
Distances offered:
- 3.1 Miles 5K in person
- 1 Mile Kids' Halloween Hunt
- 3.1 Miles Virtual 5K option
The in-person 5K features a judged costume contest with categories: Best Group, 12 & Under, Best Couple, Best Homemade, and Best Pet. Awards are given for overall male and female, and 1st and 2nd in age/gender categories: 12 & under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. Registered 5K participants receive a swag bag, an event giveaway item, and entry into prize drawings.
The kids’ 1-mile Halloween Hunt is for ages 12 and under and includes designated trick-or-trot stations where children can collect candy. Kids in the 5K receive automatic entry to the Halloween Hunt; one parent or guardian is encouraged to join without registering.
Event logistics note parking is available at the Apex Center at 13150 W 72nd Avenue, Arvada, CO. Packet pickup is available at the Apex Center on Oct. 24 or at the event. Registrations are non-refundable; the event is held rain, snow, or shine and may convert to a virtual format if required by health authorities.
