Event details
The 10th Antioch Rotary Club Bunny Hop 5K is scheduled for April 4, 2026 in Antioch, California. The event includes a 5K Run/Walk/Hop and a Kids Kwik Dash followed by an Easter Egg Hunt. Registration is planned to open in October 2025 and registrants who sign up before March 14, 2026 are guaranteed a Bunny Hop T-shirt.
Course and logistics
The 5K course is entirely within Corteva Wetlands Preserve and is mostly on gravel and grass paths. The Bunny Hop start line is about 3/4 mile from the Antioch Marina festival and parking area, which typically requires a nature walk of roughly 20 to 30 minutes. Packet pick-up will be available at Fleet Feet Sports in Brentwood on the day before the race and there will also be same-day packet pick-up at the Antioch Marina. Strollers and wagons are not recommended because of barriers and uneven terrain. Dogs are not advised. The event will take place rain or shine and there will not be a bag-drop area.
Timing, awards and purpose
The 5K is a timed event using an E-Tag on the race bib, with timing provided by Ford Timing. All finishers receive a BunnyHop 5K medal. First place overall in men’s and women’s divisions receive a plaque and a gift card. Age-group medals are awarded to the top three in the listed age groups.
