Annie Oakley Buffalo Bill Triathlon & AquaBike : Meeman Shelby Forest
The Annie Oakley Buffalo Bill Triathlon & AquaBike is scheduled for June 6, 2026 at Poplar Tree Lake in Meeman Shelby Forest State Park, Millington, Tennessee. The event includes multiple triathlon, aqua bike, and duathlon options and team divisions.
Distances offered include:
- Triathlon Super Sprint 13K
- Triathlon Sprint 25K
- Triathlon Olympic 51K
- AquaBike Super Sprint 10K
- AquaBike Sprint 20K
- AquaBike Olympic 40K
- Duathlon Sprint 30K including 5K run, 20K bike, 5K run
Participants receive a custom event tee and a finishers medal. Post-race lunch items listed for participants include hamburger, hot dog, watermelon, chocolate milk, and Prairie Farms ice cream, and beer provided by Maroon Brew CO. There is a participant drawing for a Giant bike and bike gear from Bikes Plus; winners must be present.
Logistics note the transition area will be on the grassy area near the Nature Center at Poplar Tree Lake. Packet pickup is available Friday June 5 at Bikes Plus, 7124 Stage Road #115, Bartlett, TN 38133, and at the race site on race day. Athletes self body mark with black permanent marker on right and left outer shoulder, right and left outer thigh, and left calf for age or R for relay. Chip pickup is at the transition area and requires the bib to be presented. Water is available at each mile of the run course and at the finish line.
The event will proceed in sun, cloud, or rain with delays for lightning. No cancellations or refunds are listed. Volunteer positions are noted and volunteers are invited to the post-race food and beverages. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
