Event overview
The Annie Oakley Buffalo Bill Triathlon & AquaBike takes place on June 6, 2026 in Millington, Tennessee at Poplar Tree Lake, Meeman Shelby Forest State Park. The event program includes triathlon and AquaBike options in multiple formats: Super Sprint, Sprint, and Olympic distances, plus a Sprint Duathlon. Team entries and Athena / Clydesdale divisions are offered for several race formats. Some events list minimum ages: Super Sprint open to ages 10 and up, Sprint open to ages 12 and up.
Race logistics and services
Packet pickup is available the day before at Bikes Plus, 7124 Stage Road #115, Bartlett, TN, and on race day at the race site. Chip pickup is located by the transition area on race morning; athletes must bring their bib to collect a chip. The transition area is on the grassy area near the Nature Center at Poplar Tree Lake. Athletes self body mark with black permanent marker: race number on both outer shoulders and outer thighs, and age or R for relay on the left calf.
Participants receive a custom T-shirt and a finisher medal. Post-race food includes hamburgers, hot dogs, watermelon, chocolate milk, and ice cream from Prairie Farms; beer is supplied by Hookpoint Brewing. A sponsor prize includes a chance to win a Giant bicycle and bike gear; participants must be present to win. Water is provided at each mile of the run course and at the finish. The event will proceed in sunny, cloudy, or rainy conditions but may be delayed for lightning; there are no cancellations or refunds. Volunteers are invited to join post-race food and beverages.
