Annie Oakley Buffalo Bill Triathlon & AquaBike : Event Overview
The Annie Oakley Buffalo Bill Triathlon & AquaBike takes place on June 6, 2026 at Meeman Shelby Forest State Park, Poplar Tree Lake in Millington, Tennessee. The event program includes Super Sprint, Sprint and Olympic triathlon distances, corresponding AquaBike divisions, a Sprint Duathlon, team relay options with captain and member entries, and Athena and Clydedale divisions.
Participants receive a custom event tee and a finishers medal. Food and beverage provisions include a hamburger and hot dog lunch with watermelon, chocolate milk and ice cream provided by Prairie Farms and beer by Hookpoint Brewing. Registered participants are eligible for a prize drawing for a Giant bicycle and bike gear from Bikes Plus; winners must be present to claim prizes.
The transition area is located on the grassy area near the Nature Center at Poplar Tree Lake. Packet pickup occurs the day before at Bikes Plus 7124 Stage Road #115 Bartlett TN 38133 and on the event day at the race site. Athletes are responsible for marking their own race numbers with a black permanent marker. Race number placement is on the right and left outer shoulder and right and left outer thigh with either age or the letter R on the left calf. Timing chips are collected on the event day at the transition area with presentation of the bib.
Water is provided at each mile of the run course and at the finish line. The event will proceed in sunny cloudy or rainy conditions but may be delayed for lightning and there are no cancellations or refunds.
