Angry Tortoise 25K/50K - February 20, 2027
The Angry Tortoise trail run takes place in Bryceville, Florida, in Cary State Forest near Jacksonville. The event marks the 14th anniversary in 2027 and offers trail running on forest roads from a start/finish area at 7465 Pavilion Rd.

The course is described as flatwoods on forest roads and includes well-supported aid stations. Both distances have a generous eight hour cut-off. Participants receive a race shirt and finisher awards when applicable. Overall awards are given to first, second and third male and female finishers. Age-group awards include first male and female masters (40 to 49), grandmasters (50 to 69) and senior grandmasters (70 and over) in both the 25K and 50K races. A postrace lunch is provided and Cary State Forest offers a free hot shower in the male and female restroom near the start/finish area. Proceeds from the event support the Florida Striders Kids Running Programs. The organizer provides a course map and a race video for reference.
