The Angry Tortoise is a trail running event on Saturday, February 21, 2026, held at Cary State Forest near Bryceville, Florida (7465 Pavilion Rd). The event includes the following distances:

Registration closes on Sun, Feb 22 at 11:59 PM ET. Those who register after 12:00 PM on February 1, 2026, are not guaranteed a race shirt. Proceeds support the Florida Striders Kids' Running Programs. The event marks the organizer's 13th anniversary.
Course and logistics
The course runs on forest roads through the flatwoods of Cary State Forest. The event provides well-supported aid stations and a generous eight-hour cut-off for both the 25K and 50K. Male and female restrooms near the start/finish area include a free hot shower. Awards are given in both distances to first, second and third overall male and female; first male and female masters (40-49); first male and female grandmasters (50-69); and senior grandmasters (70 and over).
