Angry Cow Trail Run / Obstacle Race
The Angry Cow Trail Run / Obstacle Race takes place on May 30, 2026 at Rockford Lake, west side of the lake by the dam, 29988 S 108 Road, Beatrice, NE. The course runs mostly on trails with a mix of trees and open pasture and is approximately 4 to 5 miles in length.
The event combines trail running with obstacle challenges. During the race participants will be directed to specific spots in the park for certain obstacles. A rucking option is offered this year; ruck participants should register for their chosen distance online and plan to check in before the regular event check in. A cutoff time may apply for those choosing a longer distance.
There is a two person team format. Teams alternate on the runs, following a pattern where one runner completes a loop and obstacles while the other uses the opposite trails, then they switch and repeat. Teams will be scored and awarded separately from solo racers.
Registration opens December 12, 2025 and closes May 15, 2026. The registration fee is $30 and includes a shirt, awards, snacks, and drinks. Camping is available in RV and tent areas. The event is described as family friendly. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
