Angry Cow Trail Run #1 : Hickman, NE

The Angry Cow Trail Run #1 takes place on February 21, 2026, at Wagon Train Lake, Area 1, Hickman, NE 68372. The start and finish are at the old beach parking lot on the north side of the main park road (S110th). The course lies north of the beach parking lot. This event is the first race in the Angry Cow Series for 2026.

Entry fees are listed as $25 for the 3 mile, $35 for the 6 mile, $45 for the 12 mile, and $55 for the 40K. Fees include a zip tote bag, snacks, drinks, and awards. Registration closes on February 6, 2026.

Format and additional information

Rucking is offered this year; ruck participants must register for a distance online and check in 30 minutes before the regular run check-in on race day. There will be a cutoff time for the longest distance. Participants may choose any weight for rucking. Snowshoes are allowed if there is adequate snow.
