Angels vs Devils 5k
The Angels vs Devils 5k takes place in Fredericksburg on October 31 and uses two nearby parks: Pratt Park and St Clair Brooks Park. Participants choose a side : Devils start at Pratt Park and Angels start at St Clair Brooks : and both groups run the same(ish) course in opposite directions with simultaneous starts. Registration packets are picked up at each park for the corresponding side.
Points from this event count toward the Year-Long 5k & Back of the Pack Series and the Fall Series. A virtual race option is available for participants who cannot attend in person. Walkers and strollers are welcome.
Distances
- 5k : out-and-back once, paved route with minimal hills and a short gravel section.
- 10k : repeats the 5k course twice.
Runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical (DriFit) event shirt, and chip timing. The 5k registration fee is $30 until Oct 15 and $35 thereafter; race morning fees increase by $5. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before Oct 20; extra shirts may be available later on a first-come first-served basis.
Water stations are provided along the courses: four stations on the 5k and eight on the 10k at approximate mile markers. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to top finishers in standard age groups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
