Event Overview
The Angels Vs Devils 5k is a Halloween-themed running event. Participants choose to be part of the Angels team or the Devils team. Both teams run a 5k distance, starting at the same time but from different parks and running opposite directions on the same course. The Devils start and finish at Pratt Park, while the Angels start and finish at St Clair Brooks Park.
Course Information
The course is described as paved and fairly flat, with minimal hills. One description mentions a section of gravel path. The route is an out-and-back format. The event is chip-timed. Points from this race count towards the organizer's Year-Long 5k & Back of the Pack Series, as well as a Fall Series.
Event Details
Runners receive a finisher's medal and a technical event shirt. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before a specific date in October. Registration fees apply, with a price increase on race morning. Race day registration is available. There is also a virtual run option. Walkers and strollers are welcome.
Post-race awards are given to the top 3 overall men and women, as well as to age group winners. A team competition element exists: whichever side (Angels or Devils) has more of the top 101 finishers receives a discount code for a future race.
Logistics
Packet pickup is available at the event. Water stations are provided along the course. Restrooms are located near the parking lots at both parks. Parking instructions differ for the two starting locations. The event proceeds in all weather conditions unless cancelled, with updates provided via email and social media.
