Anderson 5K Run/Walk - Dayton, OH
The Anderson 5K Run/Walk is a community road event held at the Vandalia Recreation Center, 1111 Stonequarry Rd, Dayton, OH 45414. The event supports a local scholarship fund created after a 2022 community tragedy; proceeds are directed to scholarships for graduating Vandalia Butler High School seniors.
The course distance is 3.1 miles (5K). Registered participants receive water, a granola bar and an opportunity to win door prizes. Dogs are not permitted at the venue.
Registration is tiered by date and category. Early registration through September 16 offers reduced fees and a guaranteed shirt when registration is completed by that deadline for adults and students. Late registration runs through September 25 with shirts not guaranteed, and on-site registration is available at a higher fee with shirts not guaranteed. A shirt-only option is available for pickup at the event.
Awards are presented to the top overall male and female finishers and to top males and females in age groups including 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
