The Anacortes Half Marathon & 5k takes place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, in Anacortes, WA (12885 Casino Dr, 98221). The event offers the following distances:
- Half marathon
- 5k
Chip timing will be used. All half marathon finishers receive a beanie and a finisher medal. All 5k finishers receive a finisher medal. The event has a no-refund policy. Participants may request to switch from the half marathon to the 5k by contacting the organizer. Parking is available in a grassy area east of the start/finish.
Course and logistics
The half marathon is a lollipop course around March Point, described as flat with water views and views of Mt. Baker. The half marathon starts and finishes on the east side of the Swinomish Casino and includes an out-and-back segment on a private gravel road on Swinomish Tribal land; that road is normally closed to public use and is runnable in normal running shoes. The route passes Casino Drive, turns onto March Point Road for a full loop, and finishes along a gravel trail on the north side of the property back to the start/finish area.
The 5k is an out-and-back on a runnable road or trail south of the Swinomish Casino. Volunteers staff the event. Dogs are allowed at the start/finish but are not permitted on the course. Single strollers with bike-like tires are allowed on the 5k; strollers are not allowed on the half marathon. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
