Event Overview
The Anacortes Half Marathon and 5k takes place in Anacortes, Washington, offering participants a route where the sea meets the sky in the Pacific Northwest. The event features scenic coastal roads, waterfronts, and forest views. The courses are designed with no major hills and utilize chip timing for all participants.
Course Distances
The event offers two distinct distances:
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon)
- 5 km (5k)
Route Details
The 13.1 mile distance follows a lollipop-style course around March Point. This segment is flat and provides views of the water and Mt Baker. Runners will pass four aid stations equipped with water, two of which also provide sports drinks.
The 5k distance is an out and back course located on a runnable road and trail south of the Swinomish Casino. There are no aid stations provided on the 5k route.
Participant Amenities
All finishers in the half marathon receive a beanie and a finisher medal. Participants completing the 5k distance receive a finisher medal. Bib pickup is organized at the event location prior to the start of the races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
