Amway River Bank Run 25K

The Amway River Bank Run is a long-established road race held in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan on the second Saturday in May. Established in 1978, the event expects more than 10,000 participants and includes the largest 25K road race in the United States. The 25K field also features the only 25K wheelchair racing division in the world and a 25K handcycle division. The event has hosted the USA 25 km Open Championship since 1995 and has been the site of national and former world record performances.

The race weekend includes multiple event formats and race-day services such as an expo, gear check, Finish Fest, and a team competition. The schedule and related events sometimes include an Amway Junior race and a 5K Community Walk held on separate days during the race weekend. Organizers also work with charity partners and volunteer groups to support fundraising and race operations.

Distances offered at the event include:

  • 25K, including wheelchair and handcycle divisions
  • 10K
  • 5K Run
  • 5K Community Walk
  • Amway Junior (midweek youth event)

Information on course, race results, training resources, and event logistics is provided by the organizers for each year of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
