Amway River Bank Run 25K
The Amway River Bank Run is an annual road race held in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan, on the second Saturday in May. The event is presented by Fifth Third Bank with Corewell Health as the official health partner and is scheduled to mark 50 years of road running on May 8, 2027. The race routinely draws more than 10,000 participants.
The program centers on the 25K, which the organizer describes as the largest 25 kilometer road race in the United States. The 25K includes a wheelchair racing division and a handcycle division; the organizer notes the 25K wheelchair division is the only one of its kind in the world. The 25K has served as the site of the USA 25 km Open Championships since 1995.
Other events on the same weekend include:
- 25K Wheelchair and Handcycle
- 10K Run
- 5K Run
- 5K Community Walk
- Amway Junior
The event program also includes team competitions, a community walk, training resources, charity partnerships, an expo and volunteer opportunities. Race services and logistics such as course information, parking and medical policy are published by the organizer for participants and volunteers.
