Ampthill vs Cancer 5K 2026
Ampthill vs Cancer 5K takes place on 28 June 2026 at Ampthill Park (MK45 2HX). The event combines a community 5K run or walk with family-focused activities, children’s races, stalls, food and live music. It raises funds for Keech Hospice, Move against Cancer and a local community fund to support people affected by cancer.
The programme includes:
- 5K run or walk for ages 11 and over
- Golden Hare Mile for ages 7 to 12
- Mini Hare for children aged 6 and under
All finishers in the 5K receive a running t-shirt and age group winners receive medals. Golden Hare Mile and Mini Hare participants receive medals. The 5K and the Golden Hare Mile use chip timing with race bibs that contain integrated timing chips and live online results. The course stays entirely within Ampthill Park and is clearly marked with marshals; some areas have natural trip hazards such as tree roots. Dogs are not allowed to take part except registered guide or hearing dogs. Medical support is provided at the start, finish and on the course.
Practical details include free parking in the West Car Park with designated overspill parking locations, a team event and the Hill of Hope challenge. Early registration and number collection are available from The Social in Kings Arms Yard from 22 to 27 June during normal opening hours.
Costs: 5K £15, Golden Hare Mile £6, Mini Hare free (registration requested). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
