Ampthill vs Cancer 5K 2026
The event will take place on 28 June 2026 at Ampthill Park.
Event Races
The event features three different activities:
- 5K run or walk, open to participants aged 11 and over.
- Golden Hare Mile for participants aged 7–12.
- Mini Hare for participants aged 6 and under.
Event Details
The event includes live music, food and drink stalls, and a picnic area. Participants are welcome to bring their own alcohol for the picnic. A community team entry option is available. The 5K route is contained entirely within Ampthill Park and includes natural hazards such as tree roots.
Finishers of the 5K receive a running t-shirt, with medals awarded to age group winners. All children participating in the Golden Hare Mile and Mini Hare receive medals. The 5K and Golden Hare Mile feature chip timing with live online results.
Charity Support
The event raises funds for two local charities: Keech Hospice and Move against Cancer. It also supports a community fund for people in the local area affected by cancer.
Practical Information
Free parking is available at the West Car Park in Ampthill Park, with additional free overflow parking at other local venues. Dogs are not allowed to participate, except for registered guide or hearing dogs. Medical support will be available at the start, finish, and on the course.
