Ampthill vs Cancer 5K
The Ampthill vs Cancer 5K is a community event held at Ampthill Great Park. The park features a varied landscape for participants, including classic parkland, wooded areas, and several hills. The event is designed to support local charities and provide a platform for community involvement through running and walking.
Participants can choose from several distances and categories:
- 5 km run or walk for participants aged 11 and older.
- 1 mile Golden Hare run for children aged 7 to 12.
- Mini Hare run for children aged 6 and under, held around the cricket pitch.
The 5 km course is open to both individuals and teams. Participants are permitted to walk, run, or use a combination of both to complete the distance. Beyond the main race, the event includes additional activities such as live music and family fun entertainment to occupy visitors throughout the day. Volunteers and sponsors from the local community assist in the coordination of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
