Amityville PBA 5K
The Amityville PBA 5K takes place at James A. Caples Memorial Park, 398 S. Bayview Ave., Amityville, NY 11701. Registration is not yet open; the organizer indicates registration will open prior to the event date.
On site amenities include parking and restrooms. Participants who register before May 1 will receive a t shirt, and a limited number of t shirts will be available for purchase on the day of the event. Water, bagels, donuts, and coffee are provided for runners. Live online, text, and email results are offered, finish line photos are free, and a personalized bib is available to those who register three weeks in advance. Medals are provided to participants, subject to availability for the first 200 registrants.
Awards include medals for the top two male and top two female overall finishers, and a top police officer award that is eligible for overall awards. Age group online recognition is noted for 18 and under, 19 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and older. Bib pickup is handled by event staff starting one hour before the event; a bib number is required for pickup.
