American Legion Post 14 Birthday Bash 5K
The event takes place on March 14, 2026, at American Legion Post 14 in Shreveport, Louisiana. All funds raised support veterans, their families, service members, and the American Legion Post.
The course is along South Lakeshore Drive, running beside Cross Lake. The race starts and ends in the American Legion parking lot. A birthday celebration with sponsor booths, food, and cake follows the race.
Available events include:
- 5k
- 1 Mile Walk or Fun Run
- 1/2 Mile Fun Run for children 12 and under
- Sleep-In Supporter (donation option)
Registration fees are $25 for the 5k and 1 Mile, $10 for the Kids Run, and $20 for the Sleep-In Supporter. Participants who register before March 2 receive a performance camo T-shirt.
Packet pickup is available at Sportspectrum on March 12 and 13. A special pickup is also scheduled at the American Legion Post on March 10. Race day pickup begins at 7:00 AM at the event site.
Awards are given for the 5k, including overall male and female winners and first-place medals in age groups from 13-19 to 70+. The Kids Run awards top three finishers. The 1 Mile Walk or Fun Run does not offer prizes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
