American Legion Beer & Wine Run - Sauk Centre
The American Legion Beer & Wine Run, Walk, & Stumble is a community sports event held in Sauk Centre, Minnesota. The event is organized by the Sauk Centre American Legion Post 67 and Westside Liquor. Participants navigate a course that consists of multiple components, with the primary featured distance being a 5K.
The event structure is based on a 1 mile loop. After the completion of each loop, participants enter a designated "Beer Zone." In this area, they are provided with a glass of beer, wine, or root beer. Alternatively, participants have the option to save the tickets provided in their race packets to redeem the beverages after they have completed all three loops of the course.
The registration fee includes several amenities for all participants. Each person receives a T-shirt, though size and availability are not guaranteed for those who register after certain deadlines. The entry also covers three glasses of beverages (beer, wine, or root beer) and food provided during the event. Following the physical portion of the event, there is a prize drawing for attendees.
The event focuses on participation rather than competitive timing. Participants are permitted to run, walk, or move at their own preferred pace throughout the different sections of the loop. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
