Amazing Grace Race 5K
The Amazing Grace Race is a community 5K event held at Drayton Mills Marketplace in Drayton / Spartanburg, South Carolina on September 26, 2026. The event offers a 5K course that is USATF certified and is professionally timed with chip timing provided by Upstate Race Series. The route begins and ends at Drayton Mills.
Pre registration for the event is $30 and race day registration is $35. Registration opens May 9, 2026 and closes September 25, 2026. Amazing Grace Race T shirts are guaranteed for participants registered by September 11, 2026. Awards are presented to first, second, and third place finishers in the men, women, and youth divisions age 17 and under.
The event includes a family friendly Fun Zone on the Drayton Mills green space. Children ages 10 and under can use the Fun Zone free of charge where age appropriate games, activities, and snacks are available while the event takes place.
Proceeds benefit Sidewalk Hope, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit that serves children and teens in Spartanburg and Greenville. Sidewalk Hope reports serving more than 300 children and teens each week, visiting four apartment communities in Spartanburg and one in Greenville with outreach programs. The organization provides backpacks, Christmas Blessing Bags, Camp Grace scholarships, additional food, Bibles and other practical support as needs arise.
