Start and Finish

The race starts and finishes in a parking lot adjacent to the Alton Bay Bandstand, which overlooks Lake Winnipesaukee. The address is 58 Mount Major Highway (Route 11), Alton Bay.

Course Details

The course is a USATF-certified, paved route through Alton. It is described as scenic, slightly varying, and mostly flat or downhill with one moderate incline. The race uses ChronoTrack computerized chip timing provided by Granite State Race Services. Each mile is marked, and water is provided at the 1.5-mile mark and finish area.

Amenities and Awards

Paid participants receive post-race refreshments and are eligible for awards and raffles. Awards are given for overall male and female runners, top male and female runners in each age division, and the first male and female runners from Alton. Teams for running clubs and family/fun groups are also recognized. The age divisions range from 9 & under to 80 & over.

Participant Shirts

A unisex long-sleeve cotton shirt is included for all paid participants who register by July 14. Participants can choose a unisex long-sleeve polyester tech shirt instead for an additional $5 by the same deadline. Youth sizes are not available.

Registration and Fees

The registration fee is $20. Registration opens on April 15, 2026. On race day, same-day registration and check-in for pre-registered runners are available, with cash or checks accepted.
