Alston Gala Fell Race
The Alston Gala Fell Race marks its 50th anniversary with a return course from Alston playing field to Park Fell and back. The route covers approximately 6.2 km (3.9 miles) with around 211 m (692 ft) of climb. The event takes place on 27 June 2026 at Alston playing field, CA9 3HY, in the North Pennines region of England.
All entry fees are allocated to the local mountain rescue team, who will also be marshalling the course. Entry categories and fees listed for the event include reduced rates for FRA members and a standard rate for non members. Entries open on 1 December 2025 and close on 26 June 2026; entry on the day is allowed. Minimum age to compete is 18, determined by the competitor's age on the event date.
The race is organised as a traditional fell race with a marked course and volunteer marshals.
