Event overview
Alpine Solstice is a trail running event held on June 20, 2026 at Swampy Lakes Sno Park near Bend, Oregon. Distances offered include:
- 55K
- Half Marathon
Each finisher receives a custom finisher medal. The event lists Ridgeview cross country/track team as the beneficiary.
Courses and logistics
The 55K course runs past Tumalo Falls, is about 90% single-track and 10% two-track, includes roughly 4,000 ft of elevation gain and 4,000 ft of elevation loss, and has four fully stocked aid stations. The 55K field has an 11.5-hour completion window.
The Half Marathon route runs through the Deschutes National Forest off Cascade Lakes Highway, features approximately 1,300 ft of elevation gain, is described as mostly non-technical, and includes one aid station at mile 9.5 stocked with water, Coke, ginger ale, an electrolyte drink, gels, and snacks.
Trails used are multi-use and remain open to other users during the event. Dogs are not permitted to run with participants. The event is cupless; participants should bring a cup or bottle for aid stations.
Registration pricing windows are listed per distance:
- 55K: $125 (Jan 1–Mar 31), $140 (Apr 1–Jun 17)
- Half Marathon: $95 (Jan 1–Mar 31), $115 (Apr 1–Jun 17)
Register by May 17 to be guaranteed a shirt size. Cancellation policy: cancellations more than 30 days before the race may receive a 50% credit toward the same event the following year; cancellations 30 days or less before the race receive no credit, refund, or transfer. Camping is permitted in designated campgrounds or dispersed areas; nearby airports include Redmond (about 45 minutes) and Portland (about 3.5 hours).
