Alpine Solstice
The Alpine Solstice is an early summer trail race held near Bend, Oregon, on one of the longest days of the year. The event features smooth, classic Central Oregon singletrack trails. The race takes place at Swampy Lakes Sno Park.
Two distances are offered: a 55K and a Half Marathon. The new 55K course runs by Tumalo Falls. The trails are multi-use and remain open to mountain bikers, hikers, and other users during the event.
The event is cupless, so participants must bring their own cup or bottle. Dogs are not permitted to run in the race with participants. Backporch Coffee is served pre-race. A post-race burrito bar and beer from Cascade Lakes Brewing Co. and Athletic Brewing are provided for participants and volunteers.
All finishers receive a custom medal. The top three female, male, and non-binary participants in each race receive prizes from sponsors. A portion of the event's proceeds supports the Ridgeview cross country and track team. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
