Alpine Solstice
Alpine Solstice is an early summer trail race held on one of the longest days of the year near Bend, Oregon. The event is based at Swampy Lakes Sno Park and takes place on smooth singletrack typical of Central Oregon in the Cascade region. The 55K course passes by Tumalo Falls.
The event offers the following distances:
- 55K
- Half Marathon
Registration pricing varies by date with early and later windows for each race; a deadline is listed for guaranteed race shirt size. Bib pickup is available the morning of the races. Pre-race coffee is provided at check in and post-race provisions include a burrito bar and beer service for participants and volunteers. Each finisher receives a custom medal, and the top three female, male, and non-binary finishers in each race receive prizes from sponsors. Ridgeview cross country and track is the event beneficiary.
Trails used for the races are multi-use and remain open to other users during the event. Dogs are not permitted to run with participants due to permit conditions. The event is cupless, so participants are expected to provide their own cup or bottle for aid station fills. The race is held under a special use permit with the Deschutes National Forest.
