Alpine Solstice : June 20, 2026

Alpine Solstice is a trail race held at Swampy Lakes Sno Park near Bend, Oregon, on June 20, 2026. The event includes two distances and takes place on trails in the Deschutes National Forest along Cascade Lakes Highway.

Course and services

The 55K course runs past Tumalo Falls, follows mostly single-track trail (about 90% single-track, 10% two-track), and includes approximately 4,000 ft of elevation gain and 4,000 ft of elevation loss. The course has four fully stocked aid stations and a maximum allowed time of 11.5 hours.

The Half Marathon route has about 1,300 ft of elevation gain, is mostly non-technical, and includes one aid station at mile 9.5. That aid station offers water, Coke, ginger ale, an electrolyte drink, gels, and other snacks.

Post-race offerings include a burrito bar and beer served to participants and volunteers. Every finisher receives a custom finisher medal, and prizes are awarded to the top three finishers in female, male, and non-binary categories for each race.

Registration and policies

Early registration pricing and later rates apply for each distance. Registrants who cancel more than 30 days before the race may opt for a 50% credit toward the same event next year; cancellations within 30 days receive no credit, refund, or transfer. The event is cupless, no dogs are permitted to run with participants, and the trails remain open to other users. The event beneficiary is the Ridgeview cross country and track team.
