Alpine Races 5k and 10 Mile : Lake Zurich, IL
The 46th annual Alpine Races take place on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Breezewald Park, 125 N Old Rand Rd, Lake Zurich, IL 60047. The event includes USATF certified courses that run through town streets and along the shores of Lake Zurich. Gatorade and water will be available along the course. Dogs, strollers, bicycles, and rollerblades are not allowed. The race organizer does not issue refunds or defer entries for registrations made online, by mail, or on race weekend. The 10 Mile run is the 2026 Illinois RRCA Championship 10 Mile and was a 2025 CARA Racing Circuit Race.

Volunteers and club information
Volunteers are needed for packet pickup, water stops, and the finish area. The local Alpine Runners Club offers membership benefits mentioned by the organizer, including race discounts, marathon training programs with RRCA-certified coaches, scheduled long runs with pace groups, free water and Gatorade on Saturday runs, social runs and events, and guest speakers on running topics.
