All-Out Dog Days
All-Out Dog Days is the 15th annual running event in Westminster, Colorado, at 10170 Church Ranch Way. The event offers road and trail courses along the concrete-paved Big Dry Creek Trail as it winds northeast, with views of the Flatirons on the horizon.
Distances included:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 10K
- 5K
- Virtual Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- Virtual 10K
- Virtual 5K
The in-person courses are out-and-back routes that follow a gentle downhill segment to a turnaround point: the half marathon turns at mile 6.55, the 10K at mile 3.1, and the 5K at mile 1.55. Aid and restroom support varies by distance: the half marathon has 10 aid stations and 4 restroom stops, the 10K has 4 aid stations and 2 restroom stops, and the 5K has one combined aid station and toilet near its turnaround. Parts of the trail include softer surface sections, especially on the 10K and half marathon routes.
The event includes a separate dog division for each distance; the first three finishing dogs in each division receive a medal, award, and prize. Dogs may be registered the morning of the event. A dog themed costume contest is also part of the day.
Virtual participants receive event SWAG, including a distance medal shipped the week after the event, and maintain eligibility for series finisher awards, alumni brag tags, and Run Amok Championship distance credit. The event benefits Lifeline Puppy Rescue and has a series counterpart called Fa La La held in December. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
