Courses run northeast along the Big Dry Creek Trail on out-and-back routes that travel along a mostly soft surface in parts of the 10K and half marathon routes. Runners pass views of the Front Range and the Flatirons. Each distance has a marked turnaround and a return on the same trail.
Specific course and support details:
- Half Marathon 13.1 miles; downhill to turnaround at mile 6.55, 10 aid stations, 4 restrooms.
- 10K 6.2 miles; turnaround at mile 3.1, 4 aid stations, 2 restrooms.
- 5K 3.1 miles; turnaround at mile 1.55, 1 combined aid station and toilet.
Virtual entries mirror the same distances and receive event SWAG including a distance medal shipped the week after the event. Virtual participants remain eligible for the series finisher award and alumni brag tags and receive distance credit toward the Run Amok Championship.
The event includes a dog division that awards fastest canine competitors at each distance and a dog themed costume contest. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
