Event Overview
All-Out Beat the Heat is a running event held in Westminster, Colorado, set along the Big Dry Creek Trail and Standley Lake Regional Park. This 14th annual event supports the mission of Adaptive Adventures and serves as an official qualifier for the BOLDERBoulder. Participants can choose between several distances and formats to suit their preferences.
Distances
- 5K: A fast dash heading west on Big Dry Creek Trail to a turnaround point.
- 10K: A route utilizing Big Dry Creek Trail and a gravel section within the park.
- Half Marathon: A 13.1 mile course featuring views of Standley Lake and the Front Range.
- Virtual Races: Remote options are available for the 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon distances.
Course Details
The Half Marathon course includes a four mile stretch on a gravel trail and road system within Standley Lake Regional Park, featuring a north-south dogleg near the dam. The route is supported by eight aid station stops and four toilet locations. The 10K follows a similar initial path before transitioning to a 1.4 mile park segment and includes four aid station stops. The 5K route remains primarily on the Big Dry Creek Trail with two aid station stops and access to a toilet.
Virtual participants receive event memorabilia, including a medal shipped the week following the race. Remote participation also maintains eligibility for series awards and credits toward the Run Amok Championship. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
