Alice Springs Running Festival
The Alice Springs Running Festival is a road running event set for 19 July 2026 in the Red Centre. The festival offers three race distances that start and finish at Simpsons Gap and run through the Tjoritja / West MacDonnell National Park.

- Half Marathon
- 10 km run and walk
The marathon follows Darken Drive and the Simpsons Gap path with an out and back section through the park. The half marathon and 10 km follow similar routes along Darken Drive and the Simpsons Gap path with turn around points and return legs. The course passes through bushland and provides views of the ranges in the national park. Approximate aid station locations are shown in event materials.
Entry fees listed by the organiser include the marathon at $183, the half marathon at $122 and the 10 km at $78. A shuttle bus fee of $25 is noted and early bird rates for February are shown for each distance. Australian Athletics age recommendations are given: marathon 18 and above, half marathon 16 and above, 10 km 12 and above.
The event is organised by the Alice Springs Running and Walking Club. The club has been active since 1979; the marathon was last held in 2018 and returned to the calendar in 2025.
