Algonac High School - Color Out Cancer Run 2026
The Color Out Cancer Run is a community athletic event held at Algonac Jr/Sr High School in Algonac, Michigan. This event marks the 10th anniversary of the run, which is hosted by the Algonac National Honor Society. The race follows a course that both begins and ends on the high school grounds.
Participants complete a single distance:
- 3.1 Miles
The event is open to both runners and walkers. To manage the flow of participants, those running start the course first, followed by those walking. The organizers permit the use of strollers and wagons for participants bringing young children.
Each registration provided prior to the deadline includes a commemorative T-shirt, a bandana, and an individual color packet. Participants who register online select their shirt size during the process, and items are distributed during the check-in period on the morning of the event. While registration is available on the day of the activity, T-shirts for late registrants are limited and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Proceeds from the event are directed toward assisting with medical expenses related to cancer treatment for an individual. The Woman's Life Insurance Society has committed to matching the first $500 raised. Facilities at the high school, including restrooms, are available for use by participants throughout the event.
