Event Information
The Alexandra's Rip Current Awareness 5K takes place on June 6, 2026 at the Southampton Cultural Center on 25 Pond Lane, Southampton, New York. The event is scheduled to be held rain or shine. The event offers a single 5K run/walk.
Registration and Fees
Registration is available online and on race day. Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. The early bird fee for the 5K is $38.98, which includes a processing fee. The price increases to $44.15 after May 24, 2026, and to $49.33 on race day. Participants can register as individuals or create an optional team with friends or family.
Event Details
The certified 3.1-mile course is described as fast and flat, running through tree-lined residential streets around Lake Agawam. Aid stations with water are available at every mile. All participants receive a finisher medal. T-shirts are guaranteed for those who register online before May 16, 2026. A personalized race bib is available for those who register three weeks before the race day.
Awards
Awards are given in several categories:
- Top 3 overall male and female finishers.
- Top male and female masters finishers.
- Top 3 male and female finishers in age groups from 10 & Under to 85+.
Beneficiary
The event supports Rip Current Awareness Education and The Alexandra DeMoura Scholarship Fund. Participants have the option to make an additional donation to these causes during registration.
Logistics
Bib pickup is available at an early packet pickup on June 5th at Lobster Roll “LUNCH” Restaurant in Southampton, or on race day at Agawam Park.
