Alderman Kneeshaw Knee Knobbler 5K
A new, low cost trail race covering a single distance of 5 km on the hills of Alderman Kneeshaw. The course is two lap, with steep uphill sections and sharp downhills, described as similar to high school cross country. Trail shoes are advised and may be required for traction if the ground is wet; spikes are not suitable because some surfaces are hard. Participants unable to gain traction may not complete the course.
The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association, licence number 8042 pending, and will be held under UK Athletics rules. Entrants must be 12 years old or older in line with UKA trail running requirements. No in ear or over ear headphones are permitted during the race.
Location details are Alderman Kneeshaw playing fields, Valiant Drive, HU9 4DZ. The race forms part of the Alderman Kneeshaw City Nature Challenge Spring Fair and takes place alongside other activities. Race results will be posted to the East Hull Harriers Facebook page after the event, and further information will be shared on relevant local Facebook pages.
The entry fee is £5.50, with a £2 discount for UKA runners. There are no prizes or mementos; over £3 of the fee is allocated to the Trail Running Association and the event entry service. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
