The Akron Trail Marathon takes place in Akron, OH on July 11, 2026. Distances offered are:

The race starts at the Memorial Parkway trailhead near 499 Memorial Parkway. Registration, packet pickup, and shirt availability are mentioned by the organizer; packet pickup is listed as TBD. Price includes a medal and a t-shirt, with a guaranteed t-shirt size cutoff on June 14.
Course and logistics
The course begins with an out-and-back into the city from the Memorial Parkway trailhead, then continues into Summit Metro Parks and follows the Towpath Trail north. Features mentioned along the route include historical locks, the Mustill Store, waterfalls, Schumacher Trail, an overlook, and Oxbow Trail. The marathon course is being reworked and will include more trail sections.
Water and aid: organizers plan about 6-8 water stops on the marathon, 3-4 on the half marathon, and 1 on the 10K. Water, sports drink, gels, and snacks (at the halfway aid station for full and half) are listed. Participants are advised to carry a handheld water bottle due to expected hot and humid mid-July conditions. The event aims to use as few disposable cups as possible.
Awards
