Akron Pride 5K
The Akron Pride Festival 5K takes place on August 21, 2026, with start and finish at Canal Place, 520 S Main St, Akron, Ohio. The in-person course passes through Akron streets and along the Ohio and Erie Canal towpath. A virtual 5K option is available for participants who cannot attend in person.
Registration opens April 9, 2026. Fee levels change on June 15, July 15, August 15, and August 21, with the lowest listed fee at $30. A T-shirt is included for registrants; a no-shirt option reduces the fee by $5. To be guaranteed a shirt size, register by August 1. Virtual registrants may pick up runner packets at the Akron Art Museum on August 20 or request shirt mailing for an additional fee; mailed items are scheduled to be delivered after the event and expected by August 31, 2026.
The in-person 5K awards certificates and prizes to the top three overall and the top three in each of 15 age groups for male, female, and non-binary categories. Winners must be present to collect prizes at the post-race event at Missing Falls Brewery. There are no awards for virtual participants.
The event is part of the Akron Promise City Series of neighborhood runs and is an official Akron Bicentennial event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
