2026 Akron Aruna Run
The Akron Aruna Run is a charity 5K run and walk held on June 13, 2026 at Copley High School, 3807 Ridgewood Rd, Copley, OH 44321. The event is organized by the Aruna Project and uses the event tagline Free. Employ. Empower.
Registration is open in tiered pricing: early registration at $35, regular at $40, and late registration at $45. Registrants are advised to register by May 25 to guarantee t-shirt selection and size. The event notes that 100% of registration fees support Aruna Project programs for survivors of human trafficking.
Event amenities include event swag featuring an Aruna Beach Bag made by Aruna Artisans and a District Tri-Blend T‑shirt in Army Green; the t-shirt and beach bag artwork include the names of ten women highlighted by the Aruna Run Series. Packet pickup is available at the venue on race day, and ample parking is provided at the school.
Awards are given to the top female and male finishers 18 and over, top girl and boy under 12, and the top fundraiser; awards include an Aruna Tote Bag and a $50 Aruna Shop gift card. Team and fundraising incentives are offered: teams receive a $25 Aruna gift card for every ten team members and individuals earn a $25 gift card for every $250 raised. Volunteers may register at no cost. Dogs are not permitted to participate in the race; strollers are allowed with a request to start toward the back of the field.
