Memorial 5K Walk/Run for Pediatric Cancer Awareness
This memorial 5K walk/run takes place on September 13, 2026, at Montpelier High School with a virtual participation option so people may join from wherever they are. The event raises funds for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation to support pediatric cancer research and family assistance.
Registration is open from July 1, 2026 through September 9, 2026. The in person registration fee is $30 and the virtual registration fee is $35. Virtual registrants will receive shirts mailed after the event. The in person event includes community activities such as a raffle with prizes, lawn games, face painting, food trucks, and lemonade.
The event honors a local high school graduate who battled Ewing’s sarcoma and died in 2020. Organizers report that previous editions have involved local schools and partners including Norwich University, and past fundraising exceeded $48,000 for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation.
