Purpose and awards
The event is a memorial run that aims to raise awareness about military healthcare and to support first-term service members through mentorship and funding. Half of the event proceeds will be donated to the Merritt Island Veterans Memorial Center. Prizes will be awarded to top overall finishers, and medals will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in age group categories for men and women.
