AFNA Walk & Run at Almaden Lake Park
This Walk and Run event takes place at Almaden Lake Park in San Jose, California, with the course following adjacent creek trails and bike paths. The start and finish are at the park and there will be a small celebration in the finish area.
Distances offered:
- 5 km for adults older than 16 years
- 5 km for kids aged 6 to 16 years
- 10 km open to all ages
Registration details and fees are provided for the event period. Registration opens on July 12 and closes on October 4. Published entry fees include $40 for the adult 5k, $35 for the kids 5k, $45 for the 10k, and a $20 option for small kids T-shirts. Children under 6 years may join for free; a T-shirt option is available for those children.
The event is organized by the Assam Foundation of North America, a publicly supported nonprofit active since 1982. The foundation supports programs that promote mutual understanding between Assam and North America and runs social and educational initiatives in the United States and India.
