Ruck The Mountain

Presented by Aevitas Medical, Ruck The Mountain is a three-day event at Crystal Mountain on October 23–25, 2026. The centerpiece is a 6-mile looped ruck route around the resort property that includes both flat terrain and steep inclines. Participants may bring their own pack or ruck; carrying a pack is optional.

The event includes an evening registration and social gathering with outdoor yoga and a campfire, followed by consolidated professional services on Saturday morning. Medical, performance, recovery, and physical therapy specialists are hosted in separate tents offering brief consultations, benchmark testing, hands-on modalities, and education. Medical offerings include brief physician consultations and optional advanced testing available for an additional cost, such as dried blood spot cardiometabolic testing, multi-cancer early detection screening, and gut microbiome analysis; test results are not interpreted on-site and testing does not create a patient-physician relationship.

Performance services provide objective measures such as force plates, dynamometer strength testing, and movement screens to establish baselines. Recovery services include acoustic wave therapy, short targeted massages, recovery supplement education, and instruction on protocols like contrast therapy and blood flow restriction. Physical therapists offer focused, brief educational sessions on gait, running form, regional complaints, and pelvic floor; these sessions are first-come, first-served and are not formal evaluations or treatment plans.

Saturday’s ruck is untimed and participant lunch is provided after completion. An optional, free uphill run on a ski run is offered on Saturday afternoon but does not include Ruck participant benefits. Registration opens July 24 with tiered fees by age and registration timing.
