Ruck The Mountain

Ruck The Mountain is a weekend event at Crystal Mountain in northern Michigan centered on a looped 6-mile ruck route that combines flat terrain and steep inclines on resort property. The program pairs the outdoor ruck with on-site health and performance services provided by physicians, physical therapists, exercise physiologists, and recovery specialists.

The weekend includes registration and a social gathering with outdoor yoga and a campfire, vendor and professional consultation opportunities, a group stretch, the six mile ruck loop, and a separate optional free fun run that goes up a ski run. Paid ruck participants receive a post-ruck participant lunch and event perks; the free run does not include those benefits.

On-site clinical and testing offerings include short medical consultations and optional advanced tests available at additional cost, such as a dried blood spot cardiometabolic panel, a multi-cancer early detection blood test, and gut microbiome analysis. Results are not interpreted on-site and testing does not create a patient-physician relationship. Performance assessments use force and strength measurement tools and movement screens. Recovery services include acoustic wave therapy, curated recovery supplements, and education on contrast therapy, blood flow restriction training, tendon and joint healing, sleep, and nutrition. Physical therapy stations offer brief educational sessions and gait and running form feedback.

Participants who wish to ruck with a pack must provide their own; packs are not required. All specialist time is donated by the event team.
