The Advocates' 8th Annual Stroll & Roll 5K is an inclusive community event taking place at Onondaga Lake Park in Liverpool, New York. The course is situated within the Willow Bay Park area, specifically near the Saw Mill Pavilion. This event is designed to be accessible, accommodating participants who wish to run, walk, stroll, or roll through the park grounds.
Participants have the following options for involvement:
- 3.1 Miles: An in-person 5K race held on the paved paths of Onondaga Lake Park.
- Virtual 5K: A remote participation option where materials such as a bib and medal are mailed to the participant.
The event is open to individuals of all ages and abilities. Registration for the physical race includes a commemorative medal and a picnic lunch served after the activity. The lunch menu consists of a hamburger or hot dog, chips, a cookie, and water. For those who do not wish to participate in the distance event but want to attend the gathering, a lunch-only registration option is available.
Proceeds from the event go toward supporting children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Registration follows a tiered pricing structure with an early-bird rate available for those who sign up before April 1st. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
