City of Newport Half Marathon
The City of Newport Half Marathon is a 13.1 miles road race that passes through the heart of the City of Newport and the historic village of Caerleon. The route highlights city landmarks and follows sections of the River Usk pathways and the City Centre.
The event supports St David's Hospice Care; proceeds are used to fund hospice services across South East Wales and Lower Powys. Since 2013 the event has helped raise over £766,874 for the hospice and attracts more than 2,500 runners. Organisers record fundraising and provide options for runners to pledge to the hospice, including a VIP package for participants who commit to a minimum sponsorship pledge of £150.
