ADMH Run for Health
The ADMH Run for Health is an annual community event held at Brook Run Park in Dunwoody, Georgia. This event raises support for the Adult Disability Medical Healthcare clinic, which provides comprehensive health services tailored to the needs of teens and adults with developmental disabilities. The race serves to assist the clinic in delivering care to patients and their families.
Participants can choose from several event distances and formats. The in-person options take place on a course within the park, while virtual options allow for participation from any location. The available distances and categories include:
- 5K run and walk
- 1K Fun Run and walk
- Push Assist Division for teams
- Virtual 5K
- Virtual Any Distance for any activity type
- Virtual Most Miles Challenge tracked between October 9 and October 25
All registered participants receive a dry-fit t-shirt and a swag bag containing various items. In-person attendees have the option to pick up their race bibs on the day before the event at a running store in Brookhaven or at the park on the morning of the race.
The event recognizes achievements through several award categories. Prizes are designated for the largest team, the largest fundraiser, and the participant who completes the most miles in the virtual challenge. Competitive awards are presented to the overall men's and women's winners, masters winners, the top push assist team, and participants finishing in first and second place across different age groups. All activities follow current CDC health recommendations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
