Adirondack Marathon Distance Festival
The Adirondack Marathon Distance Festival is a weekend running event on September 26–27, 2026, based in Schroon Lake, New York, with additional race activity in Chestertown. The event is presented as the festival's 30th anniversary year.
On Sunday the Marathon, Half Marathon and 4 Person Relay run a loop around Schroon Lake. On Saturday the schedule includes shorter road races in Chestertown and a kids event in Schroon Lake. The 10K and 5K start at the Town of Chester Municipal Center, 6307 State Route 9, Chestertown, and run on paved streets through the village. The Kids Fun Run begins and ends at the Adirondack Marathon finish line in Schroon Lake and makes a loop through town.
Race registration uses tiered pricing that changes over time. Discounted entry categories are available for military and front line healthcare workers; participants in those categories must provide proof of eligibility at packet pick-up to receive a bib and packet.
