ACORN South By Five - Bellahouston Park
This entry is for one event only at Bellahouston Park on 3 January 2027 and is part of the South By Five series. The series visits six parks over a 12 week period with a 5 km event held in each park. Entrants can register for a single event or for the full series. To complete the series and earn the designation "Fiver" participants must finish five of the six races. The six parks and dates are Kings Park 1 November, Linn Park 15 November, Rouken Glen 29 November, Pollok Park 13 December, Bellahouston Park 3 January, and Queens Park 17 January.
Entry to the races is free but places are limited, with 65 places shown for this event, and there is a mandatory minimum donation to the Acorn Trails Community Fund. Series entries carry a condition that missing two of the first three events will result in the series entry being withdrawn and offered to the waiting list without refund. Additional options are available during sign up including South By Five merchandise, with merch options available only to August. The final race in the series will be followed by a gathering and prize giving at a local bowling club near Queens Park. Each park will also have an organised litter pick with details released closer to the event. The series supports the local charity Give A Dog A Bone.
