Achilles Nashville Hope & Possibility Race
The Achilles Nashville Hope & Possibility® Race celebrates its 13th annual event in Nashville, Tennessee. Founded as the signature event for Achilles, this competition focuses on bringing together participants of all backgrounds and abilities. The race is open to elite runners, walkers, and wheeled athletes including those using wheelchairs, handcycles, or walkers.
The event features several participation options for both local and remote participants:
- 5-Miler (In-person and virtual options available)
- 1-Miler (In-person and virtual options available)
The in-person routes for both distances are located at the Richland Creek Greenway. Participants meet at the trailhead near 51st Avenue and Wyoming Avenue. The course accommodates various forms of movement, with specific categories for handcycles, racing chairs, and push-rim wheelchairs.
For those outside of the local area, virtual versions of the 5-Mile and 1-Mile events allow participation from any location. Remote participants can complete their distance during the designated race window and submit their times for the 5-Miler distance. This event is organized by Achilles Nashville, an organization that has supported hundreds of athletes with disabilities in mainstream running activities since 2012.
