Achilles Hope and Possibility 5K and 1 Mile
The fourth annual Achilles Hope and Possibility 5K and 1 Mile takes place at Creve Coeur Lake Park in Saint Louis, Missouri. The event benefits the Achilles St. Louis chapter and supports the chapter's work pairing athletes with disabilities and volunteers or guides for races.
The event includes the following running distances:
- 5K (timed)
- 1 Mile (untimed)
The course uses park paths and is described as fast, flat, and wide. The event accommodates running, walking, and rolling on those paths.
A new feature this year is an adaptive tandem cycling program that offers cyclists the opportunity to ride alongside Achilles tandems on the Creve Coeur Park trail after the running events. New athletes who are interested in adaptive cycling and tandem riding are welcome to participate.
Published registration fees are $35 for the 5K, $25 for the 1 Mile, and $30 for the bike ride. After the event there will be pizza, music, and more. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
