Aces & Paces Poker Run 5k at Cohesion Brewing
The event is a 5k-ish, untimed fun run that starts and ends at Cohesion Brewing in Denver. Participants move along an open course with five checkpoints; at each checkpoint they draw one random playing card and keep it for the duration of the run. After the course participants turn in their five-card hands and event staff evaluate hands using standard poker rankings to determine prize winners.
This is an open course on city sidewalks, streets, and trails; roads will not be closed and participants are responsible for obeying traffic laws. Routes are marked with arrows and supported by volunteers. The event is rain or shine and there is no bag check.
All participants receive one free craft or non-alcoholic beverage at the finish line and may choose a collector’s pint glass or a seasonal swag item. The event includes live music, games, vendor goodies, and Brewery Running Series merchandise for sale. A portion of proceeds supports local nonprofits. Registration is limited by taproom capacity and refunds are available up to seven days before the event.
Dogs and strollers are permitted with care and caution. A valid ID is required to receive alcoholic beverages; underage participants receive a token for a non-alcoholic beverage.
