Aces & Paces Poker Run 5K
The Aces & Paces Poker Run 5k is an untimed fun run that takes place at Cohesion Brewing in Denver. This event follows an open course format, meaning roads remain open to traffic and participants are responsible for following all traffic regulations. The route is marked with arrows and supported by volunteers, designed to showcase the local neighborhood while starting and ending at the brewery.

Participants in this event engage in a poker-themed run where they visit five different checkpoints along the course. At each stop, runners draw a random playing card. These cards are collected and held throughout the duration of the run. At the finish line, staff evaluate the five-card hands using standard poker rules to determine winners for various prizes. Cards cannot be swapped, redrawn, or replaced if lost.
Every registered participant receives a craft beverage at the finish line, with non-alcoholic options provided for those under 21 or by preference. Entry also includes a choice of a collector’s pint glass or a seasonal swag item. The event area features live music, games, and partner activities. Dogs and strollers are permitted on the course, provided they are managed with caution on the city sidewalks and trails.
