Rockin' Summer 5k, 10k, 15k, Half Marathon at Whittier Narrows
This event takes place on July 19, 2026 at Whittier Narrows Recreation Area in South El Monte, California. The course is an open park trail with marked out and back loops. The route layout uses repeated loops so runners complete multiple laps for the longer distances.
An aid station at the turnaround and start area provides water cups, bottled water, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels. Results are posted on the organizer website within 12 to 24 hours after the event. Registration includes a custom finisher medal, a drawstring goodie bag, free photos and videos, and an assortment of snacks and samples.

- 5k out and back
- 10k two 5k loops
- 15k three 5k loops
- Half marathon three 4.36 mile out and back loops
Race day registration accepts cash, Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal and lists fees for each distance. Transfers are handled by contacting the organizer; there is a no refund policy. The half marathon has a 3 hour 15 minute time limit and an early start may be available by request to the organizer. Parking at Whittier Narrows is $10 per vehicle with a discounted $8 rate for adults 65 and over and for disabled parking. The event location is 750 Santa Anita Ave, South El Monte, CA 91733.
