Summer Day 5k 10k 15k Half Marathon : Woodley Park, Lake Balboa
The event takes place at Woodley Park in Lake Balboa, Van Nuys on September 6, 2026. The course uses park paths and is an open course shared with pedestrians, runners, and cyclists; participants are asked to be courteous and use the pedestrian tunnel rather than crossing Woodley Avenue.
Distances offered:
- 5k (one loop)
- 10k (two loops)
- 15k (three loops)
- Half marathon (three 4.36-mile loops)
The 5k/10k/15k configuration is an easy out-and-back loop with a small hill about 0.6 miles from the start. Aid stations are provided on every loop and offer water cups, bottled water, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels. Results are posted on the event website within 12–24 hours.
Included with registration are custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free photos and videos, and a selection of snacks and samples. Time limit for the event is 3 hours 15 minutes; early starts may be arranged by contacting the organizer. Transfers are allowed only by contacting the organizer; there is a no refund policy. Bibs must be visible on the front of participants for photos and official results.
Parking is available in the parking lots off Woodley Avenue and Victory Boulevard, with additional overflow dirt parking near the golf course. Race day registration accepts credit card, cash, Apple Pay, Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal with listed entry fees. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
