Summer Day 5k, 10k, 15k, Half Marathon : Woodley Park, Lake Balboa
This event takes place on Sunday, September 6, 2026 at Woodley Park in Lake Balboa (6340 Woodley Ave, Lake Balboa, CA 91406). Distance options include:
- 5 km (1 loop)
- 10 km (2 loops)
- 15 km (3 loops)
- Half marathon (3 x 4.36 mile loops)
The course is an open out-and-back/loop layout on park paths and is described as easy to follow. There is one small hill about 0.6 miles from the start. Aid stations are provided at every loop and supply water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels. A 3:15 time limit applies; early starts may be arranged by contacting the event organizer.
Registration is available through Active.com or PayPal. Race day registration accepts cash, credit card, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, and Apple Pay. Listed race day fees are 5k $35, 10k $40, 15k $45, half marathon $50. Transfers and group discounts for five or more participants can be arranged through the organizer; there is a no refund policy.
Included with registration are custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free photos and videos, posted results within 12 to 24 hours, and an assortment of snacks. Volunteer opportunities can be exchanged for a free future race entry.
Parking is available in the lots off Woodley Ave and Victory Blvd, with overflow parking across Woodley Ave near the golf course. Participants crossing Woodley Ave must use the pedestrian tunnel.
