Summer Day 5k 10k 15k Half Marathon - Van Nuys
This event offers multiple distance options around Lake Balboa at Woodley Park in Van Nuys. The course is an open path with an easy out-and-back layout and one small hill about 0.6 miles from the start. Runners complete loops depending on distance; aid stations are provided on each loop.
Included participant items and services include custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free photos tied to bibs, free videos and cinematic race highlight reels, live results at finish, trophies and achievement badges for milestones, and an event app that tracks races, photos, and videos. The organizer also provides an Ascend Index ranking and an Ascend Crew feature to follow other participants.
Aid stations supply water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels. Parking is available in the parking lots off Woodley Avenue and Victory Boulevard, with additional overflow dirt parking near the golf course. Pedestrians and participants must use the pedestrian tunnel and should not cross Woodley Avenue.
