ABWR Turkey Trot (Friday) : Long Beach
The event is a running and walking event organized by ABWR on November 27, 2026, at 5400 E Ocean Blvd in Belmont Shores, Long Beach. It offers multiple distance options and provides participant amenities and posted results.
Distances offered:
- 5k out and back route
- 10k two 5k loops
- 15k three 5k loops
- Half marathon three 4.36 mile loops
Included items and services: custom finisher medals for all finishers, drawstring goodie bags, free photos posted online after the event, and an assortment of snacks and samples. Official results with names and times are posted on the organizer website, typically within 12 to 24 hours after the event. Pacers and crew are welcome. There are numerous restrooms and water fountains along the course. Running or walking with a stroller is allowed.
Logistics and policies: check in is at the tables closest to 54th Place at the start of the beach path, not near Claremont Avenue. The organizer advises using Google Maps or Waze rather than Apple Maps for navigation. The half marathon has a time limit and an early start option is available on request.
