Sun and Summit - Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area
Sun and Summit is a set of road and trail races held Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area in Los Angeles. The event offers multiple timed distances on marked out-and-back loops along the park trail. The course is open to the public and shared with other pedestrians, runners, and cyclists.
The surface is a mix of pavement and hard packed dirt or gravel, and the route includes a steep hill of about 0.25 miles with views at the top. An aid station at the turnaround by the start and finish provides water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels. The half marathon uses three 4.36 mile out-and-back loops; the 10k and 15k repeat 5k loops.

Parking at Kenneth Hahn is $10 per vehicle and several park parking lots are nearby.
