Sun and Summit 5k, 10k, 15k, Half Marathon, Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area
The event is scheduled for August 9, 2026 at Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area, 4100 S La Cienega Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90056. It offers multiple distance options on park trails and shared paths.

- 5K
- 10K 2 x 5K loops
- 15K 3 x 5K loops
- Half marathon 3 x 4.36 mile out and back
The course uses out and back loops on park trails and is marked. The surface includes dirt, some grass, and pavement and features a steep hill of about 0.25 miles. The course is open to park users, so participants share paths with pedestrians, runners, and cyclists. An aid station at the turnaround near the start and finish supplies water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels.
Registration includes custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free photos and free videos. Results are posted on the event website within 12 to 24 hours. Parking at Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area is listed as $10 per vehicle with discounts for those 65 and older, disabled visitors, and veterans; nearby lots include the Swings area, the Picnic Area, and the lot across from the visitor center.
