The course is an open park route using marked out and back loops on a shared path. Surfaces include dirt, some grass, and pavement. The route includes a steep hill approximately 0.25 miles long. Aid is located at the turnaround at the start/finish and provides water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels.
Included with registration are custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free photos and videos, posted results within 12 to 24 hours after the event, and an assortment of snacks. Group discounts are available for groups of five or more. Parking at Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area is noted as a $10 fee per vehicle with discounts for seniors, people with disabilities, and veterans.
